Fikisha is an accomplished legal educator
To improve and enrich the legal community, Ms. Miller took her concerns about the system and strove to educate an important subset of players in the justice system: paralegals. Ms. Miller directed the ABA-accredited paralegal studies program at Volunteer State Community College. In addition to teaching criminal law, civil law and ethics, she oversaw other attorneys teaching the next generation of legal support staff about the law and legal systems.
Under her tenure, the exemplary Student Paralegal Organization was revived, and the program received great acclaim during its ABA accreditation review. Students from that program would go on to provide excellent support services, and some even continued to law school and joined her in the fight against abuse of the legal system and in the protection of families.
